What Are CSCS Cards?

CSCS cards come in Different Colours, which indicate various trades and the person skill level. For example: to get a CSCS Green card you must complete a Health, Safety and Awareness Course. To get a CSCS Blue Card you must have completed an NVQ level 2 or equivalent. To get a Gold Card you must have completed an NVQ level 3 or equivalent.
What is the Test Required for a CSCS Card?
CITB Health, Safety and Environment test, known by some as the touch screen test. You must complete this to obtain a CSCS card. The CITB Test takes 45 minutes. It is a multiple-Choice test with 50 Questions. You must get 45 out of 50 to pass.

You can choose to take your test with the help of a voiceover audio recording in either English or Welsh. If you’re sitting the Operatives test, you can choose from a further 12 languages. You’ll be provided with headphones so you can hear the test questions and possible answers in your chosen language. The questions and answers displayed on the screen will remain in English. The Operatives revision app also offers these languages as a voiceover. |

Test Centre Information
On arrival at the test centre, its essential that you can present valid Form of ID. Ideally, you’ll have a primary form of ID available, displaying your photo and signature (Driving Licence / Passport etc). If you’re not in possession of this style of identification, you’ll need to provide at least two items of ‘secondary’ ID. These could be either something with your name and signature on or alternatively a document carrying your photograph and name. In all cases, the ID presented must be the (Valid) original; copies will not be accepted as satisfactory evidence. If you fail to provide appropriate identification on the test day, you’ll be unable to complete your test and your booking costs will not be reimbursed.

CPCS Test Renewal
The CPCS renewal test is an extremely important tool deployed by the plant industry. It allows employers to make sure their workers are up to date with the latest guidance. It also helps individuals to sense-checks whether they’ve retained key knowledge covered in their initial training. As a consequence, workers have the opportunity to re-visit information relating to their role.
The CPCS renewal test is a short, multiple-chose-based assessment. There are fifteen questions included, which are based on the technical aspects of the different plant operative ‘categories’ the exam takes just fifteen minutes, therefore permitting a response rate of one question per minute.
Although the test itself is relatively short in length, its important you prepare appropriately before sitting your exam. Revision materials are available on request.

How to Renew your CPCS Card
To Renew Your CPCS Card please see list of Available RT Test. You must also complete the CITB Health, Safety and Environment test, known by some as the touch screen test. If you have already done this test within the Last two years, you will not be required to sit this test.
